A guide to Boston Wine Festivals

Who doesn't enjoy a good wine festival? There are some great finds to be had in the Boston area. I live here for my husband's job and am forever impressed by how much there is to do! Anything you can think of is here- if you can just figure out how to navigate to get there! You can feel free to encourage whether you are a less-skilled wine taster or if you go all the way to sommelier! The Boston Wine Festival is great, and I found it at: http://www.bostonwinefestival.net/. You can get tickets at their site. They have the "longest running food and wine-pairing series" presented by the Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowe's Wharf. After the festival, there is so much sight-seeing to do in Boston. You can see the Freedom Trail and Quincy Market for free. If you choose to come impartial for the wine festival, though, you will composed have a great time. It is very helpful to know which wine to pair with certain foods. The series runs January through April.

The Boston Wine Expo has so distinguished to offer, too! It is January 23-24, 2010. You can pick up them online and secure tickets here: http://www.wine-expos.com/Wine/Boston/. "A global adventure in a glass," it will be held at the Seaport World Trade Center. They are having a full schedule: a grand tasting, 15 celebrity chefs on two stages, giving you recipes to take home, guided tastings and seminars, the Spacious Cru Wine Lounge, a space to get away from the crowded floor and like yourself, a Vintner Dinner, and a "Meet and Greet" with the winemakers.

September 25-27, 2009, you might come by yourself at the Newport Mansions Wine and Food Festival. Find them online or get tickets here: http://www.newportmansions.org/page10000205.cfm. New this year, they are having a celebrity chef, Jacques Pepin, at a Vintage Evening at the Breakers. They are also having a grand tasting and Jazz Brunch, celebrity chefs, auctions, and exhibitions. Tickets are on sale now!

And who could mention wine festivals and not bring up the Cape? October 12 and November 15, 2009, there will be two wine events at the Taste of Cape Cod. October 12 is the Italian Wine and Food Festival at the Radisson Hotel in Hyannis. November 15th is the Restaurant-Fest Holiday Festival with wines to match. Not only would you get to attend the wine festival, but you would also get to see the Cape! Form reservations here: http://www.tasteofcapecod.com/. Enjoy yourself! There is so much to learn about wine, but it is easy once you start!
